  1. ≈∏≈∏≈∏≈∏≈∏  Welcome to Create a Text DA    ≈∏≈∏≈∏≈∏≈∏

  3. You can use this application to create a Desk Accessory to 
  4. display any TEXT file you choose. The file may be created
  5. using Edit ..or MacWrite, Word, or Excel (saved as TEXT).. 
  6. or the DA RedWriter. For example.. you can create a DA of:
  7.  
  8.     1. Names and Addresses for Word or MacWrite.
  9.     2. A Reference DA  for use in Excel.
  10.     3. Source Code frequently used in Programming.
  11.     4. A DA of Hypercard Scripts to Copy and Paste.
  12.     
  13. As an example, open the DA..  Excel Functions near the top
  14. of the Apple Menu.
  15.  
  16.    You can Copy text from the DA but you cannot Paste to it.
  17.  
  18.    The content size of the DA Window will be the same as the
  19. one selected for this window.. The text will NOT "wrap around"
  20. so  you should enlarge the width of the window to accomodate
  21. the longest line in your selected TEXT file.

  23.    You can select 2 Fonts.... Monaco 9 or Geneva 12.....using the 
  24. "Toggle Fonts" option in the File Menu. Some of you may prefer
  25. the larger font for files with short lines...or to avoid eye strain!
  26.  
  27.   You will not be able to create your DA until you have selected
  28. a TEXT File to use from the File Menu. If the file is very large,
  29. you will only be able to use the first 32K (32768 Characters) of
  30. its data.
